I've been potting for ten or so years, learning the basics at Sweard Park Clay Studio in Seattle, before transitioning to rural Arlington, WA. In an old farmhouse at Smoke Farm I spent several years exploring clay. With the generous help of Persis Gayle, an old time potter living up the road, I was able to continue practicing high firing methods, refining my pieces and developing my style. Northward still, Skagit and Whatcom counties have become my home base, where I throw and bisque, while making the trip south every few months to glaze and fire with Persis.
Shapes and designs in my work come from my intimacy with nature, animals and the divine creative spirit I tend to many a day.
